Ecoforest and markets

We woke up around 9 and had some free toast before heading out to the ecoforest. I visited here on my previous trip and it is essentially a little rainforest in the city centre with walks throughout it. Annoyingly it was a very hot and humid so soon I was sweating loads, but we still managed to spend our morning doing the walks and even managed to escape monkey attack. It's nice to have a big green space within the city and it really is very central.

Afterwards we headed to get some lunch. We ended up at the same mall which I have on both previous visits, and actually had the same Japanese curry as I had last year. For less then £2 we had a vegetarian katsu curry with rice and green tea which was good, and shows how much many you save by not eating typical western food. We then wandered around the mall for a bit and I managed to get some cheap shampoo and moisturiser.

We didn't really have plans for the rest of the day and saw a free bus passing, so made a spur of the moment decision to get on it. This turned out to be good as we got the chance to travel around the city and see lots of areas we weren't going to visit. We got off at the bus station and discovered we were close to Central Market. We spent an hour or so wandering around the inside stalls and looking at the souvenirs.

After heading back to the shower and showering we caught a Grab to see mollie again in hospital. She was given permission to leave so we went out down the road and found an Indian restaurant. We tried to order and were told that it was self service; we filled our plates from a huge buffet, ordered extras like naan and then paid for what we ate. We all ended up absolutely stuffed for under £2, and the food was delicious! After a wander round 7/11 we said goodbye to mollie, and continued on to ladies night.

On one of the main touristy streets we found a bar doing free drinks including daquiris for girls which was great, though ended early for the world cup. We ended up having a great night anyway watching the world cup final with a friendly group of French men- it turned out to be a group of one guy, his boyfriend he'd met out in malaysia, his brother and his dad, and they were all very nice.

We headed home about 1.30am after a fun night and drank a lot of water to balance out all the free drinks.
