Today the weather looked a little brighter, so we decided to go to the cable car. Again we opted to get lunch before heading out to save money, and this time went to an Arabic restaurant where meg and I shared hummus and flatbread and I had a salad.
Afterwards we got a grab to the entrance of the cable car. We had seen it from the waterfalls and it's massive, so slightly terrifying. Tickets are 55 ringit (around £11) so this was a pricey activity but one of Langkawi's main attractions. We paid and caught the cable car up which stopped at a middle platform. Annoyingly when it stopped it was particularly cloudy and we could see virtually nothing. We then got the cable car up to the top, where there is a sky bridge and some viewing points. Unfortunately meg started to feel sick/faint so we spent a while here until she felt better and we were able to look around.
The sky bridge was cool but felt pretty unstable, though we all made it. After heading back down we had entry to some weird attractions at the bottom of the park and visited some rabbits, a 3d cinema and a 3d museum, all of which were surprisingly funny but a little weird. We then spent a while trying to get wifi for a grab before admitting defeat and getting a taxi back to where we were staying.
After an ab workout and showers we ventured out for dinner. We'd eaten lunch really early so were all starving but somehow missed the restaurant we planned to go to and ended up doing a full tour of the main strip in our efforts to find it. But at last we made it to a nice, local restaurant and got food. Afterwards we had shakes and then headed back to the hostel to go to bed.
