Last day in Penang and with Mollie

Since the first time I went travelling I have wanted to visit the Perenthian islands but not done so and so it felt almost surreal knowing all day that we'd soon be going there! Sadly it was our last day with mollie, too, and our last in Penang, so after some toast in the hostel and checking out but leaving our big bags there, we ventured to the cinema to see The Incredibles 2. Not only was I very excited to see the sequel, but going to the cinema in Malaysia is honestly great as it's so cheap! We paid £1.40 each plus around £2 for snacks, so so so much less than in England. It was a really good film though by the end I think we were all sick of the huge popcorns we'd consumed!

After a quick venture around the mall we walked around some more of the city we hadn't visited before, finding the sea and trying to reach the beach. Unfortunately it had started to get hotter so this light stroll became quite intense! We stopped off at a huge supermarket where I got some snacks to take to the islands as it's known to be more expensive than the mainland. After a while strolling we turned back and ended up in the cafe we'd been to the other day where the others got a kind of late lunch (i was still too full from the popcorn!)

We then went for a final stroll around little india and Penang in general before heading back to the hostel to sort our stuff out and fill up water bottles etc. Meg wasn't feeling well but the rest of us then ventured 20 minutes to an amazing looking vegan restaurant I'd found online. We arrived and it looked pretty fancy which was stressful, but fortunately we found that the prices were reasonable and ordered some local food. It was delicious! I thought they were using a type of fake meat i hadn't had before but it turned out to be a type of mushroom which was so cool!

After the walk back we got our stuff together and I had a quick shower before we said bye to mollie and walked to the mall to catch the night bus.
