Apologies- wifi is not cooperating with me so delayed posts and lack of photos until I sort it!
I love Langkawi, but my 2 previous visits have primarily involved sitting on the beach, and so when we arrived to cloudy weather this somewhat threw me off. However after free toast from the hostel we went for a wander around and decided to get some lunch. We ended up at an Indian and got curries to share and they gave us free naan and poppadoms which were so good.
Feeling suitably full we headed back to the hostel to order a grab to the waterfalls. I went here last year and loved them so was excited to return. We climbed up some steps to reach the top where there are a number of pools and natural slides, and we spent the next few hours swimming and sliding around.
Afterwards we got a taxi back to the hostel and showered and got ready, and then ventured to the night market. Here they had the most amazing cheap food! We tried some really nice stuff and spent around £1 each. Continuing the cheapness we headed back to the main strip and went to a bar doing "ladies night" where women get free drinks all night! They did 2 cocktails for free which were so good so we spent the evening here before heading back to bed.
