Sorry getting a bit behind on blogging! An uneventful day; we left Thailand (again) and flew to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Classic me with appalling geography skills hasn't even realised we were going here. It was such an easy smooth flight despite my initial panic when boarding a Malaysian airline plane... but it was fine! Arrived at the airport and after a quick meal at pasta mania boarded a shuttle bus for £2 each. Compared to put previous bus fares this seemed quite excessive, but the journey turned out to take an hour and 20 minutes! We followed the detailed instructions to our hostel which fortunately was only a short distance away, and we were met by a very nice guy who said a private triple room would be £5 each per night.
We checked in, lazed around for a bit and then went to find some food. It was sad to see a lot of homeless people; a fairly average amount for western standards but it's been uncommon where we've previously visited.
Lauren and I opted for some very questionable indian; fortunately it was boiling hot but I could almost feel the good poisoning. Molly had the safe option of a kfc. We headed back after this cultural trip and sat with the guy who checked us in in the communal area and watched a comedy thing about Justin bieber which was actually very funny. Shockingly sociable of us! We stayed down there for a while utilising the free hot drinks and WiFi (ours doesn't work on the second floor) before going to bed about half 12.
We have no plans for Malaysia and just need to get to Singapore (about a 5 hour drive away) by May 3rd, so have a lot of spare time to figure out what we want to do. It's kind of strange as up until now out itinerary was sorted for us!
