a day in a shopping centre

Lazy mornings here at becoming very standard which I am definitely not complaining about. After some toast and showers we ventured out to a big shopping centre about 20 minutes from the hostel to take part in an escape game. It sounds bizarre but it's essentially a skill/logic game where you're locked in a room for an hour and have to solve puzzles to try and get out. I'm not sure if this is sounding painfully nerdy but it sounded fun so we booked it. It was located in possibly the biggest shopping centre ever, it was amazing. The one we went to yesterday was impressive but this was like hundred of shops, restaurants, a cinema and even an indoor theme park. Craaaay.

We headed to wendy's for lunch, a classic American fast food chain. Disappointing lack of vegetarian optioms but the others got a burger, fries, chicken nuggets and a drink for £1.40 and a free large portion of dried for doing a survey. So cheap! Afterwards we headed to the escape thing where we failed miserably. I think of us as fairly intelligent  but evidently not, but to be fair the puzzles didn't make much sense and were pretty subjective. It was still fun to do though and a cool way to spend an hour.

Next we wandered around in search of a drink and ended up back at the cinema. This was in fact the biggest cinema screen in Malaysia with incredible surround sound, and we paid less than £3 to see the new jungle book film. It was amazing, the graphics were incredible and i think we all ended up jumping and screaming more than we did at the supposedly scary film we saw yesterday.

We came out at about 5 and wandered around the shops for a bit, then decided to get some food as it was so cheap here. Molly and i had soup and i also bought some fruit from a like fruit pick n mix- massive regret as it was all pickled or had salt on it. It's a no from me. Then we returned to Wendy's where the same staff were still on shift. Quite a humiliating moment to be honest.

At around 7 we began the walk home, stopping off to buy water, and then began packing our bags for our 5 day trip. We're leaving out large rucksacks here to avoid having to check in luggage, and it's obvious we've been travelling for a while now that 3 t shirts, 2 pairs of shorts and 3 pairs of pants seems like an appropriate amount to take on a 5 night trip.
