Last day in Delhi then off to Agra

The day started by getting ready to check out. This is never fun as my rucksack contents always seem to have doubled in size. We moved our bags to a luggage storage room and had our free breakfast before heading out. Our first stop was the market for a second visit as I'd decided to buy some more trousers. Classic. However we arrived shortly after 10 to learn that the market opened at 11. Far from ideal, so we spent the hour wandering around the few open shops. The others went to get an ice cream when the trouser stall finally opened and I got two pairs for £5. Bargain.

Next we headed off to the lotus temple. We had planned to walk the 45 minute journey but as it was close to midday and we now had little time before our train we opted to get a very cheap tuk tuk. The temple is one of my favourites. It is baha'i and they worship in silence and allow all religions to worship there. It's very peaceful and pretty. They actually had a couple of readings when we were there and the acoustics were echoey and amazing. We visited the museum to learn a bit more before heading out.

Next we got a tuk tuk to Humayan's tomb. We were all super quickly and spent a while tracking down somewhere to get lunch. We found a local restaurant that was so cheap- roti was 5p! And had lunch there. There was a power cut just after our food arrived which was awful and made the restaurant unbearably hot. So much sweat!!

After lunch we went into the temple. It was really interesting to look around though I'm struggling to actually remember what it looked like as I'm writing this. I think I have officially reached temple capacity and they are all blurring into one. By the time we finished there it was close to our time to leave, and so we headed back to get our bags. We went via subway to grab some dinner for on the train then caught an uber to the station.

The train was fine. We went in the lowest class, sleeper, which doesn't have air con but fans and no closed windows so was pretty cool. An old man opposite asked a few questions about us and when he got off he thanked me for my company which was so cute. It took about 3 hours which sounds long but is so short to us now! We arrived and were faced wth a huge crowd of tuk tuk drivers, and managed to get a good deal on our journey to the hostel in Agra. We checked in, showered and then ventured to the roof to be sociable for once! It was nice chatting to the other hostel guests including some guys with almost the exact same route as us planned. We all headed to bed around 1am
